Skin Rejuvenation
  • Skin rejuvenation process is a procedure of reversing many signs of ageing that are visible so that you can have a young and beautiful looking skin. Skin rejuvenation helps in diminishing wrinkles and fine lines on older skin as well as loose and sagging areas, leaving you with a younger looking skin. Many cosmetic skin conditions and dermatological problems can be dealt with the help of fractional laser skin resurfacing.
Skin rejuvenation can be done in many ways, ranging from laser, light and other treatments to chemical peels and other non-ablative methods. This results in a smoother, clearer and younger skin. Apart from surgical and medical procedures, natural procedures also help a lot more in your younger looking desire. Natural skin rejuvenation is a process of giving your body the tools it requires to revitalize naturally from inside. Your body has already refreshed skin cells and repairs itself using the healing process. The healing process is skin rejuvenation that is why chemical peels and dermabrasions are so popular and effective treatments. We offer fractional resurfacing treatment which provides an epidermal effect together with deep dermal volumetric heating for anti-wrinkle effects.
Fractional skin resurfacing is a revolutionary technology in skin rejuvenation and treats scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and skin imperfections such as uneven skin tone, brown spots due to damage from the sun. Non-invasive fractional resurfacing laser produces tiny micro thermal treatment zones, penetrating deep into the dermis and leaving the skin intact and unaffected. Fractional treatments help the skin in healing much faster using the body’s normal healing process to create new, healthy and tighter tissues. Clinical studies recommend a treatment routine of 4 to 5 sessions for optimal results. Before fractional laser skin resurfacing came, only two types of laser treatments, ablative and non-ablative were in vogue. Ablative laser treatment uses vapour at a high temperature, are very effective but also side effects with long recovery time. Non-ablative laser treatments have either little or no side effects or almost no healing time, but treatments may take over a month’s time and provide limited results. This technology is advantageous as the array of narrow beams stimulates quick natural healing in the surrounding tissue, making this efficient for deep corrections and promoting long term dermal remodelling.
Acne Treatment
  • Introduction
  • All of us have glands that produce oil to keep our skin from becoming dry and flaky. However, sometimes, our oil glands over produce! This is what commonly causes “Acne (pimple)”.
Oil is a natural lubricant which protects the skin. Acne (pimple) is caused when changes in one’s hormonal levels cause the oil glands to produce excess amounts of oil. The opening of the hair follicle gets blocked when dead skin cells mix with the extra oil, thus inciting the multiplication of bacteria that reside in the skin. The skin being irritated by these bacteria, ends up inflaming the surrounding tissues. This gives rise to bumps on the surface of the skin in the form of whiteheads, blackheads and pimples.
  • Whitehead:
  • A blocked and closed pore bulging out from the skin
  • Blackhead:
  • A blocked but open pore which turns dark in colour because of its top surface coming in contact with the air. Black head and white head are also known as comedones.
If not treated properly, these bumps become deeper and take the form of more painful cysts – containing fluid or semi-solid substances. Quite obviously, the more the number of oil glands, more the chances of over production and more acne (pimple)! Therefore, acne (pimple) is usually found in areas such as the fore-head, the face, the chest and back. Your forehead itself consists of more than 20,000 oil glands so you can well imagine the number of the rest of the acne (pimple) prone areas!
The common belief is that only teenagers get acne (pimple)! If you are one of the common believers, hold on! Acne (pimple) can appear in adults and children alike, so a proper skin care regimen is always helpful.
Acne (pimple) is treated by a dermatologist, a doctor who treats diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Depending on the severity of acne, different treatments are available.
